As a business, we mourn the loss of any member, but the fact remains that our members demand the high standard of beauty be upheld. Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded.

Newly chubby members in question were pushed back to the rating stage. The site allows its members to decide on who should be allowed to join. Admission to the site is only allowed after others already accepted vote on a photograph of the applicant and a brief profile.

While it sounds like a potentially interesting way to have a select group, it sounds a bit harsh for some.

Besides, if you know how to post a profile pic, this wouldn’t be an issue.
